Implementing 5S is a key step toward improving safety. By eliminating clutter and cleaning up work areas, safety hazards are eliminated. Plus, it becomes easier to spot the source of potential hazards such as oil leaks, frayed wires, loose machine guards, and broken safety equipment. However, safety hazards will always exist and need to be marked with appropriate safety warnings and instructions.
Instructions eliminate hazards by providing proper operating information, shutdown procedures, lockout instructions, or maintenance information. The best place to have such information is right at the point of need. This can best be accomplished using appropriate signs and labels.
When a hazard can not be eliminated, then safety labels or signs must be used. Depending on the nature of the hazard, there are several types of safety signs and labels that may be used: Danger, Caution, Warning, or Notice.
The DuraLabel PRO is the one printer that can make whatever type of safety sign or label needed. From arc flash warning labels to large-format caution signs, the DuraLabel PRO has the printing capabilities and the necessary supplies required to make the safety signs and labels you need.
