Lockout and Tagout (LOTO) Labels

Labeling information

This page provides step-by-step instructions for using the Brady Labelizer Plus to make labels providing lockout and tagout information. These instructions can also be used to make many other types of labels.

1. Insert 4" black-on-orange tape
2. Check the Label Options settings. They should be:

Justification - Left
Frame Label - Thin
Reverse Print - Off
Character Spacing - Normal
Mirror - Off		 Text Position - Middle
Frame Area - Off
Text Direction - Labeling information
Line Spacing - Normal
Baseline - Center

The above are the correct settings. If your Brady Labelizer Plus does not have these settings selected, use the up/down arrows to select, then use the left/right arrows to change the setting. When done, push Labeling information
3. Turn on the CAP LOCKS
4. TYPE OPTIONS, Expand/Condense to 60% (use left arrow to select), Labeling information
5. TYPE SIZE, .3 Labeling information, at the cursor Labeling information
6. Type: RECLAIM PUMP #12-A Labeling information
7. TYPE SIZE, .5 Labeling information, at the cursor Labeling information
8. Type: LOCKOUT PROCEDURE Labeling information
9. TYPE SIZE. .15 Labeling information, at the cursor Labeling information
10. Type the next 7 lines Labeling information
11. Labeling information (to skip a line)
12. TYPE SIZE, .2 Labeling information, at the cursor Labeling information
13. Type: IN CASE OF EMERGENCIES CALL EXT. 888 Labeling information
14. PRINT PREVIEW
