Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus Labels and Signs

Labeling information

The Brady Labelizer Plus is so inexpensive and easy to use, that having your own in-house labeler simply makes sense. The above Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) label is an example of an inspection "sticker" made using the Brady Labelizer Plus. The following provides step-by-step instructions describing how this was made.

1. Insert 4" white-on-blue tape into your Brady Labelizer Plus

2. Check the Label Options settings. They should be:

Justification - Center
Frame Label - Thin
Reverse Print - Off
Character Spacing - Normal
Mirror - Off		 Text Position - Middle
Frame Area - Off
Text Direction - Labeling information
Line Spacing - Normal
Baseline - Center

Above details the correct settings. If your Labelizer Plus does not have these settings selected, use the up/down arrows to select, then use the left/right arrows to change the setting. When done, push Labeling information
3. Turn on the CAP LOCKS
4. TYPE SIZE, .5 Labeling information, at the cursor Labeling information
5. Type: S.C.B.A. Labeling information
6. TYPE SIZE, 1 Labeling information, at the cursor Labeling information
7. Type: #291 Labeling information
8. TYPE SIZE, .2 Labeling information, at the cursor Labeling information
9. Labeling information (to skip a line)
10. Type the following: CHLORINE BUILDING Labeling information
SOUTH ELEVATOR Labeling information
11. Labeling information (to skip a line)
12. TYPE SIZE, .1 Labeling information, at the cursor Labeling information
13. Type the following: TEST/INSPECTED BY: J.W. SMITH Labeling information
14. TIME/DATE (see page 5-21 in the User's Manual if the settings are not correct). A Box will appear on the screen. When you Print Preview, the current time and date should appear on the label.
15. PRINT PREVIEW
